Who is ant

Born in 1977, Anthony Sunter is a UK-based artist whose work explores atmosphere, movement, light, and memory through layered abstract compositions. Using spray paint, acrylic pens, and intricate line work, his practice is inspired by the natural world, shifting landscapes, and fleeting moments of light and emotion.

Anthony studied at Epsom School of Art and was formerly known as Sunny, one half of a British artist duo whose work gained international recognition. During that time, the duo collaborated with brands including Porsche, Alexander McQueen, and Tiffany & Co., while exhibiting in galleries and spaces worldwide, including Corey Helford Gallery in Los Angeles, Stolenspace Gallery in London, and Colette in Paris.

Now working independently, Anthony’s current practice represents a more personal and exploratory direction. His work often draws from the atmosphere of the UK landscape, natural phenomena such as the northern lights, and the emotional resonance of colour and space. Through layering, repetition, and experimentation, he creates works that balance structure with spontaneity, inviting viewers into moments of reflection and connection.
