Bloom Study began as a test piece for the larger Ripple Bloom drawing, an opportunity to explore how a secondary form could emerge from within the movement of my ripple lines.
Rather than drawing the form directly, it is built through shifts in colour and thousands of individual archival pen marks. From a distance, the image begins to emerge; up close, it dissolves back into the rhythm and movement of the lines.
I often use smaller studies to work through an idea before moving onto a larger drawing. This one became a piece in its own right, so I’ve decided to release Bloom Study as a small edition of just eight, each individually drawn and subtly unique.
Every piece is carefully packed by Anthony and shipped via UPS with full tracking.
