Archival pen on 425gsm Saunders Waterford paper
A2 Portrait — 42 × 59.4 cm / 16.5 × 23.4 inches
Original artwork — one of one
£800
This work reflects a moment of quiet clarity—being away from home and finding a deep sense of contentment within yourself. Inspired by time spent in Bermuda, it explores the idea of a mental “factory reset,” where distance brings perspective and the noise of everyday life begins to soften. It speaks to those rare moments where you stop looking ahead or behind and simply settle into where you are, feeling at ease without needing anything more.
Through flowing lines and layered colour, the piece captures a steady, rhythmic movement—like breath returning to a natural pace. The shifting bands of colour move in harmony rather than contrast, echoing a sense of balance and acceptance. There is no urgency here, only presence. It reflects the experience of slowing down, enjoying time with family, and recognising a quiet fullness in life—where, for a moment, everything feels complete in itself.
