Description

This recolored artwork, inspired by the recent Super Harvest Moon, will be displayed in full clarity prior to the auction.

Created during a period of creative flow, I was struck by the power of the moon, which some say affects the fluids in our bodies just as it influences the tides—perhaps explaining the torrent of ideas I experienced after three sleepless nights. As I continue to research the full moon’s effects on my well-being, I find it fascinating how it impacts both my creativity and my health, particularly as I recover from recent health challenges. Sleep, I’ve come to realize, is central to healing, and this awareness deeply influenced the composition and mood of this work.

The artwork draws from a personal experience: a moment when I was unable to capture the beauty of the full moon while driving home from a swim at Rydal. Thankfully, my wife’s good friend Sarah @sarah_gerrish managed to capture its stunning glow, which became the foundation for this piece’s recoloring.

I hope this reimagined work, with its more deliberate presentation, allows everyone a chance to view it before the auction. Thank you for your overwhelming support of my previous piece—your feedback, both positive and constructive, has been invaluable as I continue on this creative journey. Stay tuned for more studies to come!
