The initial study for Still Burning, this piece explores the quiet warmth and shifting shape of a single candle flame. Fine archival pen lines curve around a deep blue centre, opening into soft pinks, oranges and golden yellows. Inspired by the candle burning on my studio desk, it reflects on the small lights we hold close as the evenings draw in.
Each piece in this small edition is drawn entirely by hand, with subtle variations making every artwork unique.
